Selectour moves to conversational intelligence with Kleio

Date:

Selectour is taking another step in its digital transformation. The leading network of independent travel agencies in France has announced the large-scale rollout of a conversational artificial intelligence solution developed by the startup Kleio. The objective is clear: to simplify complex purchasing processes and enhance the sales effectiveness of the network's advisors.

AI deployed across the entire Selectour ecosystem

The Kleio solution is now available on Selectour.com, Selectour-Affaires.com , and at nearly 300 local agency websites. It is also directly integrated into advisors' workstations to support them in qualifying requests and recommending suitable offers.

According to Selectour, this conversational AI allows for a better understanding of travelers' intentions expressed in natural language and streamlines the process of directing them to an agency or online purchase. "Our goal is to provide our 4,000 advisors with the most effective tools to optimize the relevance of their recommendations," explains Hubert Prades, Selectour's Chief Information Officer. "The direct integration of Kleio's conversational AI into their work environments represents a significant technological advancement."

Kleio, a platform designed for the travel industry

Kleio 's technology is based on a multi-agent architecture and a product data unification engine. It is designed to aggregate information from multiple sources, including CRM, ERP, GDS, CMS, and product catalogs, in order to offer consistent, omnichannel purchasing journeys.

The platform manages several specialized agents via a central intelligence layer responsible for intent detection, security, and moderation. It can leverage various language model providers, including OpenAI, Gemini, Mistral, and Anthropic, to adapt to web and business uses.

Two separate assistants for clients and advisors

The system relies on two complementary agents. Lisa is designed for travelers: she initiates conversations, refines their expressed needs, and directs them to the most relevant offers. Alex, on the other hand, is designed as an assistant for sales teams. He helps advisors formulate recommendations, identify upsell opportunities, and write personalized sales content.

"Some modules are common, such as intent capture or product recommendation, but Alex goes further in helping with qualification and quote preparation," explains Adrien Mathieu, co-founder of Kleio, quoted by the specialized press.

A strategic project for Selectour

This initiative reflects Selectour's commitment to streamlining often lengthy and fragmented sales processes. The network must manage a vast catalog and a significant volume of data to be analyzed in real time. The challenge is to make each interaction more relevant, while simultaneously enhancing the role of the sales advisor.

For Philippe Wellens, CEO of Kleio, this partnership illustrates the tangible contribution of agent intelligence to tourism. It also paves the way for future interconnection with external conversational search engines, depending on the network's needs.

Key takeaways

Selectour is deploying large-scale conversational artificial intelligence in partnership with Kleio. The solution is integrated into the network's websites as well as the advisors' professional tools. Two separate assistants address the needs of customers and sales teams. The goal is to improve the fluidity of the purchasing process, the relevance of recommendations, and the network's sales performance.
