SOLESTIA launches its development on the French Riviera with three hotels in Cannes

Date:

A new hotel player is entering the French Riviera market. Founded in October 2025, the Solestia group has announced the acquisition of three 4-star hotels in Cannes and is already preparing to open one in Nice in 2026. This structured arrival, with 106 rooms under its brand from the outset, deserves the attention of tourism professionals.

Three 4-star hotels in Cannes to start

In a press release issued in February 2026, Solestia officially announced the acquisition of three iconic hotels located near the Croisette and the Rue d'Antibes: theHôtel Le Verlaine****, theHôtel & Spa Cézanne**** and theHôtel Renoir****.

The complex comprises 106 rooms, divided into Classic, Superior, and Suite categories. These assets form the initial foundation for the group's development, which promotes a vision of hospitality centered on people and the customer experience.

The group explains: “Solestia embodies light and hospitality, two pillars of our vision. We want to create places that are both elegant and sincere, where human warmth meets the beauty of details. An ode to the Mediterranean, to the good life and to a timeless beauty that unites the shores of the South.”.

A renovation program already underway

Solestia has announced the launch of a renovation and refurbishment program for its three Cannes establishments, representing a total investment of €500,000. Work has begun on the Renoir and Cézanne hotels, and will soon be extended to the Verlaine.

The four-star Hotel Renoir is scheduled to reopen at the end of February after a complete renovation of its lobby and breakfast room, entrusted to the Nice-based architectural firm Bleu Gris. Meanwhile, the four-star Hotel Le Verlaine, a former Belle Époque private mansion, offers 46 rooms and suites spread between the main building and an annex called "l'Atelier." The hotel features a private patio, a bar, a meeting room, and private parking.

Nice in sight for 2026

As part of its development strategy, the group plans to open the Hotel Posidonia**** and the Restaurant Sacha, currently under construction at 49 rue de l'Hôtel des Postes in Nice, during 2026.

Solestia defines itself as a family-owned and independent hotel group, based in Nice, whose name combines "Sol," the Latin word for sun, and "Hestia," the Greek goddess of the hearth. Its stated ambition is to eventually develop a collection of unique properties beyond the French Riviera.

What this means for tourism professionals

The arrival of Solestia on the Croisette strengthens the independent 4-star hotel offering in Cannes, a market structured by events and the business segment. Centralizing several establishments under a single brand can facilitate group negotiations, allotments, and combined packages between Cannes and, eventually, Nice.

For agencies specializing in the French Riviera and the premium segment, the emergence of this new operator represents a single point of contact for several strategic assets, with a strong positioning around experience and Mediterranean identity.
