ByteTravel is accelerating its presence in France. The Spanish travel tech company announced on July 13, 2026, a partnership with Petit Futé to distribute online visa services, eSIMs, and airport lounge access. The agreement also targets travel agencies, with a commission-based sales model.
The partnership is presented as already operational. It allows ByteTravel to integrate several of its services into Petit Futé's digital ecosystem, particularly during the trip preparation phase.
Summary
ByteTravel will distribute Visagov via Petit Futé
The agreement initially focuses on promoting Visagov, the online visa processing platform operated by ByteTravel. The service will be featured in Petit Futé's travel planning sections, newsletters, and certain advertising spaces.
Travelers will also be able to access eSIM connectivity solutions and airport lounge bookings offered by the various brands of the ByteTravel group.
The press release specifically mentions Visagov for visa processing, Roamic for eSIMs, and VIP Lounges for airport lounge access. ByteTravel also operates Globely.

Agencies will be able to receive a commission
The B2B component is one of the most concrete elements of the agreement. ByteTravel and Petit Futé indicate that the agencies involved will be able to offer these services directly to their clients and receive a commission on each sale.
The partners mention a network of approximately 12,000 travel agencies. However, this figure comes from a press release published by ByteTravel and could not be independently verified by an official Petit Futé publication available at the time of our verification.
It is therefore necessary to distinguish the existence of the partnership, which is publicly announced, from the precise size of the network that ByteTravel claims to be able to access.
Petit Futé claims 75 million visits
The press release also indicates that Petit Futé's digital platforms record more than 75 million visits per year.
Again, this figure is provided by the partners as part of the announcement and is not supported by an independent audience audit in the sources consulted. It should therefore be considered as self-reported data.
Petit Futé's digital positioning, however, is easily verifiable. The publisher operates a major tourism content portal covering destinations, accommodations, restaurants, activities, and travel services. Petit Futé will also celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026.
ByteTravel has just joined BME Growth
The French partnership comes just days after another significant change for ByteTravel. The company began trading on BME Growth on July 3, 2026, under the ticker symbol BYTE.
This information is confirmed directly by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, the operator of the Spanish financial markets.
ByteTravel was previously listed on BME Scaleup, which it joined in July 2024. It became the second company from that market to subsequently join BME Growth.
The company was founded in 2021 and develops technology services that complement transportation and travel. According to BME, Visagov is its core business.
Visas remain ByteTravel's core business
A report published in May 2026 and available from BME indicates that visas accounted for approximately 80% of ByteTravel's revenue in 2025. eSIMs marketed by Roamic accounted for approximately 16% of revenue.
This document also indicates that nearly 97% of ByteTravel's sales were made outside of Spain in 2025, which confirms the international nature of its business.
On its own website, ByteTravel claims that Visagov processes visa applications for over 70 destinations. The company also boasts over 3.2 million registered users and more than 755,000 visas processed. These figures are published by ByteTravel itself.
What the partnership actually changes for agencies
At this stage, the agreement does not change the role of agencies in booking travel. It primarily adds an opportunity for them to market additional services after or during the main sale.
An agency using the system will be able, according to the announced terms, to offer a visa service, an eSIM or access to an airport lounge and collect a commission when the customer buys the service.
The amount of commissions, the precise contractual conditions, the number of agencies actually activated and the sales volume generated by the partnership have not been disclosed.
It is therefore too early to measure the real economic impact of the agreement on French distribution.
ByteTravel seeks to gain ground in France
The partnership nevertheless gives ByteTravel an additional point of entry into the French market a few days after its arrival on BME Growth.
According to the specialized press and market documents consulted, the company is developing a model centered on ancillary travel services rather than on the sale of flights or packages themselves.
For professionals, the key issue to watch will now be the actual adoption of these services by French agencies. The commission-based model is confirmed by the announcement, but no sales figures are yet available to determine whether this new channel will become significant.
The ByteTravel-Petit Futé partnership is therefore well established. What remains to be seen is its actual impact on travel agencies and the additional revenue it will actually generate for distribution.
