The EasyJet strike is back in the spotlight in the middle of the summer season. Three cabin crew unions have filed a strike notice covering the period from August 7 to September 2, 2026 in France. But be aware: at this stage, it is not a 27-day continuous strike and no general wave of cancellations has been announced.
The strike notice concerns flight attendants and stewards at easyJet France. It was filed jointly by the SNPNC-FO, UNAC-CFE-CGC and UNPNC-CFDT unions.
According to the specialized press, the officially covered period begins on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 00:01 and ends on Wednesday, September 2 at 23:59. Air Journal indicates that the notice concerns all cabin crew members of easyJet France across all bases.

This statement allows the company to more accurately assess available staff and adapt its program.
No wave of cancellations confirmed as of August 5th
As of August 5, 2026, the sources consulted do not report any general list of easyJet flights cancelled due to this new notice.
It would therefore be premature to announce massive flight cancellations or to present all departures between August 7 and September 2 as being threatened in the same way.
The situation could change rapidly once the days of mobilization are known and after individual statements from the staff concerned.
For travel agencies and tour operators, the key point of reference must therefore remain the actual flight status. easyJet has a Flight Tracker that allows users to view scheduled departures and arrivals in the following days.
Why did the unions file this notice?
The reasons for the conflict must be presented as trade union demands, and not as independently established facts.
According to a statement from the unions, reported by Reuters, staff representatives have been denouncing a deterioration in cabin crew working conditions for almost a year. They cite, in particular, unstable schedules, last-minute changes, some temporary assignments, and rotations that they consider detrimental.
The conflict had already triggered a social alert on July 24. Reuters and Le Parisien confirm that this was subsequently suspended in the context of the fires in Gironde.
The three organizations have finally relaunched their mobilization with the notice covering the period from August 7 to September 2.
easyJet asks unions to abandon the strike
The company also responded. Reuters reports that easyJet expressed disappointment with the strike notice and stated that it had proposed adjustments to address the concerns raised by employee representatives.
The company also indicates that new negotiations are scheduled for September and asks the unions to lift their strike notice. This is easyJet's official position in the dispute.
The unions, for their part, indicate that the strike notice could be lifted if an agreement is reached. The scenario therefore remains open on August 5th.
What agencies should monitor as a priority
For tourism professionals, the period from August 7 to September 2 deserves increased monitoring, without systematically modifying files at this stage.
Trips including an easyJet flight connected to a cruise, tour, prepaid transfer, car rental or non-refundable service naturally present more challenges in the event of a change to the flight schedule.
A cancellation can indeed affect several services within the same booking. Identifying the affected reservations allows for a quick response when a flight is officially changed.
The Transport Code also stipulates that in the event of disruption due to a strike, passengers must receive free, accurate and reliable information from the company on the activity provided, no later than 24 hours before the start of the disruption.
The true timeline of the EasyJet strike remains to be seen
The essential point is therefore simple: the period from August 7 to September 2 is confirmed, but not all the days actually affected have been yet.
As the mobilization dates become clearer, the operational consequences can be assessed much more accurately. Before then, predicting several weeks of air chaos would be going beyond what is currently known.

No general list of cancellations related to this action has been confirmed at this time.
