ESCAET is participating in Tourism Careers Week 2026 to attract talent

Date:

During Tourism Careers Week, held from February 2nd to 8th, 2026, ESCAETis stepping up its efforts to promote careers in travel and events. The specialized business school, based in Aix-en-Provence, is launching numerous initiatives to raise the profile of a sector undergoing significant transformation and facing substantial recruitment challenges.

According to the trade press, the tourism sector is facing a persistent skills shortage, despite the recovery in activity. In this context, Tourism Careers Week, supported by the Ministry of the Economy, is emerging as a key national event to reconnect young people, those seeking career changes, and professionals with the realities on the ground.

Two key opportunities to discover careers and training programs

As part of this event, ESCAET is organizing two events open to the public. The first will be a webinar entitled "Discovering Careers in Tourism," scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Hosted by Julie Panadero, the school's director, this online session aims to present the diversity of careers in the sector, their job opportunities, and the skills currently sought by companies.

Training for the realities of a sector in transformation

Founded in 1984, ESCAET has established itself as a leading institution in training for careers in tourism, travel, and event management. The school offers, in particular, a Specialized Bachelor's degree in Travel (equivalent to a three-year undergraduate degree) and an International Travel Management MBA (equivalent to a five-year undergraduate degree), both state-recognized and developed in close collaboration with industry professionals.

Beyond initial training, the institution also supports tourism professionals in their career development, retraining projects, or skills enhancement needs. This commitment responds to a real-world need: companies are now seeking hybrid profiles capable of combining professional expertise, digital proficiency, and an understanding of sustainability issues.

A strategic challenge for the tourism sector

For ESCAET, actively participating in Tourism Careers Week goes beyond the purely institutional framework. It is a strategic lever to strengthen the attractiveness of the professions, to foster new vocations and to secure the future of a key sector of the French economy.

By aligning itself with this national trend, the school aims to highlight that tourism remains a sector of opportunity, provided it is supported by robust training programs that are aligned with market demands. This is a clear message at a time when the industry is seeking to renew its talent pool and prepare the decision-makers of tomorrow.
