The numerous long weekends in May boosted Logis Hotels. The group is forecasting a 22% increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2025, driven by short local breaks, European clientele, and the development of its premium offerings.
According to the specialized press, this performance comes in a context where travellers continue to favour getaways that are quickly accessible from their homes, especially during long weekends.
Summary
The May bank holidays boosted business activity
Logis Hotels attributes part of this growth to the favorable effect of the calendar. The various long weekends in the spring boosted bookings across the network, even though booking patterns tend to be more spread out over time than before.
Karine Morot-Gaudry, the group's deputy managing director, also highlights the impact of developing premium offerings, which contributes to improved commercial performance.

Particularly dynamic regions
Several regions recorded significant growth during the month of May. Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur led the way with a 41% increase in revenue. Grand Est (+33%) and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (+30%) completed the top three.
According to the group, these results are explained in particular by the consumption habits observed during long weekends, with many travellers favouring destinations located only a few hours from their place of residence.
European customers were there
Nearby international markets also contributed to this growth. In May, bookings from Germany increased by 33%, while those from Belgium rose by 26%.
For the summer season, French customers remain the main driver of growth with an 11% increase in bookings. European markets also show positive growth: the Netherlands (+25%), Germany (+15%), Belgium (+13%) and the United Kingdom (+12%).
According to the trade press, these results reflect both the continued appeal of French destinations and the loyalty of key European markets. The trade press also reports that local clientele continue to play a central role in the patronage of independent establishments.
The business segment is regaining its strength
Although the numerous public holidays temporarily slowed business travel at the beginning of May, the trend reversed after the Pentecost weekend.
The group indicates that the lag observed in business customers was largely made up during the last week of the month, driven in particular by the configuration of the last long weekend of the calendar.
Favorable prospects for the summer
At this stage, Logis Hotels is recording a 16% increase in bookings for the summer season compared to the same period last year.
New Aquitaine shows a 29% increase in bookings, ahead of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (+24%) and the Channel coast (+22%).
Transit regions are also benefiting from this dynamic, with increases of 29% in the Grand Est and 28% in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, supported by the expected flow of European travelers heading towards destinations in the south of France.
A favorable trend for independent hotels
Beyond the performance recorded in May, these results illustrate the strong performance of domestic and European markets for independent hotels. Short breaks, local travel, and the appeal of regional destinations continue to support the sector's activity.
For tourism professionals, these indicators also confirm the importance of European clientele in preparing for the 2026 summer season.
