UCPA 2025: 250,000 clients… and a strong comeback that is challenging the sector

Date:

The figure went almost unnoticed, yet it deserves the full attention of tourism professionals. In 2025, UCPA attracted nearly 250,000 customers to its sports holidays. A solid volume, but above all a key indicator: the accessible sports tourism model is reasserting itself.

Behind this performance lies a more strategic reality: UCPA is not just recovering. It is rebuilding a sustainable model, balancing social mission and economic performance.

UCPA 2025: Solid activity in holidays and daily life

's sports holiday activitiesUCPA, holiday camps and offers for young adults attracted nearly 250,000 customers in 2025.

In parallel, everyday sports and leisure activity reached a particularly high volume, with 15 million entries to its facilities (aquatic, fitness, climbing, racket sports).

This dual positioning is key. UCPA doesn't depend solely on holidays. It also attracts regular, local activity, which stabilizes its business.

Economic fundamentals are recovering

On the financial front, the signs are also encouraging.

Revenue is projected to reach €350 million in 2025, representing a 2% increase. Gross operating profit is expected to reach €32 million, a significant year-on-year increase.

The net result remains slightly negative at -1.8 million euros, but improves significantly, with a gain of 7.5 million euros compared to the previous year.

In other words: the operation is profitable, but the structure is still absorbing the effects of the past.

The objective is now clearly stated: a return to balance by the end of 2026.

A recovery supported by strategic choices

If UCPA is regaining some room to maneuver, it's not by chance. Several factors explain this trajectory.

First, a stabilizing financial situation, with a controlled debt ratio and the gradual end of repayments of state-guaranteed loans related to the Covid period.

Next, a renewed investment capacity. The group recently acquired Padel Horizon, a center dedicated to racket sports in the Île-de-France region, a sign of a strong interest in rapidly growing sports.

Finally, a logic of optimizing the model, with better working capital management and increased attention to operational profitability.

A social positioning that remains at the heart of the model

One of the key aspects of the UCPA model remains its social grounding.

By 2025, more than 55% of those welcomed on stays will have benefited from social assistance upon departure.

In addition, 106,000 vulnerable young people were supported in projects promoting access to sport and holidays, an increase of 25%.

This positioning clearly distinguishes UCPA in the market. It allows it to combine volume, social utility and long-term customer loyalty.

What this changes for tourism professionals

Beyond the figures, this dynamic sends a clear signal to the market.

Accessible sports tourism is not a marginal segment. It is a solid growth driver, capable of withstanding cycles and generating volume.

The hybrid model, combining social mission and economic performance, also shows that it is possible to reconcile accessibility and viability.

Finally, the diversification of uses; between stays and daily practice appears as a key factor in resilience.

A strong signal about new customer expectations

UCPA's performance reflects an evolution in expectations.

Travelers are looking for more active, useful, and accessible experiences. Sport is becoming a vehicle for engagement, but also for social connection.

In this context, players able to offer flexible, regular and tailored services to different audiences gain a significant advantage.

  • UCPA welcomed nearly 250,000 customers on sports holidays in 2025
  • 15 million entries are recorded for sports and leisure activities
  • Revenue reached 350 million euros (+2%)
  • EBITDA amounted to 32 million euros, a significant increase
  • The net result remains negative but is improving significantly
